Material

Our candles are produced in Denmark using raw materials sourced from Europe to ensure a more sustainable and local production. As a natural material, plant-based wax may vary in appearance, showing slight color variations or crystallization on the surface. This is simply a sign of a natural, untreated material. 

The glass can be returned to the WABI SABI store in Aarhus once the wax has burned out, supporting a more circular form of production and consumption.

Choice of Materials

• Let the surface melt to the edge
• Trim the wick
• Burn for no more than 3-4 hours
• Minimize soot

Rapeseed wax is a natural and sustainable choice, and it stays the most beautiful and healthiest with a little care. For the best experience, we recommend letting the wax melt all the way to the edge the first time you light the candle, ensuring it burns evenly. Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each use to achieve a calm flame and avoid soot. Allow the candle to burn for no more than 3–4 hours at a time to protect the glass and preserve the fragrance. To put out the candle, preferably do so with a wick snuffer or by dipping the wick into the wax to prevent smoke.
